At Simply from Scratch, our home bakery isn't just about making delicious desserts; it's giving back to the community that supports us. We're passionate about helping the community we love the most. Giving back is a part of our mission, from donating treats to participating in and contributing to community events. Read below and find out some of the ways Simply From Scratch loves Raleigh!
Duke Raleigh Hospital Bake Sale
2022 & 2023
The last two years (and we hope for more to come!) we have donated various baked goods (this year 4 dozen heart cupcakes) to the Duke Raleigh Hospital Radiology Department Bake Sale, where all proceeds benefit the American Heart Association.
Lacy Live
2022 & 2023 (2024 coming soon!)
Some of our first and most loyal customers come from Lacy Elementary School, and we knew we had to give back! In the Spring of 2023, Simply From Scratch donated a gift card to the Lacy Live event supporting the school's Foundation Program, which funds additional teaching positions at the school
Humble Heart Bazaar
2022-2024 (Come see us Nov. 19 & 20)
Marketplace event hosted by the United Methodist Women of Hayes Barton United Methodist church, where 20% of our proceeds, as well as a flat $100 donation go towards local women's charities. Over 100 baked goods sold each year!
